Editorial Policy

Our commitments on accuracy, independence and safety.

Independence

Dryvenna is an independent publication. We do not sell services, and our guidance is not shaped by contractors, manufacturers or advertisers. If we ever add external commercial links, they will be clearly identified and added deliberately — never inserted automatically into articles.

Accuracy and honesty

  • We describe how systems work in plain, technically careful language.
  • We do not invent experts, licenses, certifications or credentials.
  • We do not publish fabricated statistics, quotes or prices.
  • We avoid presenting measurements, slopes, depths or sizes as universal, because the right values depend on soil, climate, roof, local code and the specific system.
  • We do not promise guaranteed outcomes for any repair or product.

Distinguishing between systems

We are careful to keep related-but-different topics distinct — gutter drainage, foundation drainage, French drains, roof drainage, stormwater management and waterproofing are not interchangeable. No single system is a universal fix for every home.

Costs

Where we discuss cost, we explain the factors that drive it rather than inventing exact prices. Any ranges we mention are framed as rough guidance that varies by region, house and access, and we always list the variables that change the number.

Publication dates

Each article shows its original publication date and an editorial byline. We focus on getting the fundamentals right rather than churning superficial updates.

Corrections
